A global advertising and media group, launching a worldwide advertising campaign for one its most prestigious customers, sought the means align local creative efforts with its customer's overall brand strategy.
The challenge for Sigma was to design, create, and implement a global portal for sharing advertising and media campaign data that our client was creating for their customer, a major technology manufacturer with global presence. Our client needed a solution that would foster communication whilst promoting collaboration and integration between all parties working on the campaign.
Sigma created a central location, or portal, for all agency and customer advertising documents to greatly reduce the number of Websites serving the customer. Based on a robust FTP site with VPN access and secure login, the portal allowed the agency to distribute materials in standard formats. Via the portal, the agency grants access to a creative resource library, including imagery, graphics, product photography, logo specs, colour palette information, providing tools for local creative endeavours. The portal's interface facilitates the sharing, review, and approval of creative materials.
By developing a portal we were able to reduce work duplication and improve communication between our client's regional offices. Our client improved productivity by being able to search and locate key documents efficiently. Through the use of this secure Web-enabled database hosted by Sigma, over 300 client personnel can view, economically, the latest design work in real time. Our client regularly populates the portal with work from local countries for use anywhere in the world. Being able to share materials through the portal has led to production savings and greater consistency of brand usage for the agency's customer. The customer's worldwide procurement division estimates these savings to be in the millions of dollars.
