Why outsource IT Support?
The question facing every business is to outsource IT or invest in-house? Using Sigma as your external IT support partner gives you the best of both worlds. Our engineers work so closely with your staff that they are often viewed as "part of the family". But because they are external suppliers, there are many more benefits for you:
Outsourcing is a major decision for any organisation. For many businesses especially, contracting IT support is a big step. We aim to instil confidence and create peace of mind by delivering the highest quality service and products and offering genuine value for money.
We offer a cost-effective full unlimited IT Support package that is perfect for small to medium sized businesses who would like their very own IT Department. We take complete responsibility of your network and manage all the day to day tasks so you can get back to focusing on your business. With our cutting edge 24/7 network monitoring system, we have the ability to fix problems before you even know they exist.
Value-added services
Sigma can also help with procurement and third-party contract management, and offer strategic input to maximise the returns on your IT investment.
Assured quality
Sigma works to industry standard protocols such as ITIL, and has certifications for Microsoft, Mac, Cisco and all major hardware vendors.
Our IT Support Service
Our IT support service is built around service level agreements and is designed to be responsive and efficient. To an end-user it looks like this:
Single point of contact, through the Sigma Technical Assistance Centre (S-TAC)
- no more waiting for an engineer - your call will always be answered and we aim to resolve most issues at first point of contact.
Remote control support (client desktops).
A secure connection into your offices allows us to connect directly to your Mac or PC without having to come to your desk, so we can quickly respond to problems we cannot talk you through.
Qualified on-site engineers.
Should we fail to rectify a problem by the first 2 methods, or there is a more serious problem that is affecting a number of users, we will send an engineer to your office to deal with the problem.
Remote services (for monitoring, reporting, alerting and management).
The same tools we use to connect to your desktop also allow us to monitor and administer your servers and infrastructure, meaning that we will often be dealing with issues with your servers before you even notice them.
Automated problem escalation.
Our call management systems ensure that you are never forgotten. Once you have logged a call, our system ensures that you are kept informed of the progress either by e-mail or phone. If for any reason it is not responded to within the agreed timescales, helpdesk staff are automatically alerted and they make sure that the call is reassigned to a more senior problem management engineer.
Regular site visits.
Our engineers make scheduled visits to perform infrastructure maintenance and any non-urgent support calls that require their presence.

Internet/WAN/LAN
Sigma supports the networking connectivity needs of modern enterprise demands, from connecting users to offices and the web through to protecting company data. As part of the offering, Sigma will fully manage and support the entire network from end-to-end, removing an ambiguity of using multiple suppliers, leaving businesses with the space to focus on their day to day core activity.
A cost effective, secure Internet service is an integral part of any business communications strategy. Users require fast, reliable connectivity to compete effectively in an ever-changing marketplace with an ISP provider they can trust.
Sigma is an ISP provider delivering flexible solutions whether you are connecting your business to the Internet for web and email, running business critical applications, linking your remote sites or operating a Wide Area Network (WAN) with a centralised Internet gateway.
Our fully managed ISP services provide businesses with direct, resilient, low cost Internet connectivity.
Callport VoIP solutions
CallPort is a fully managed, network based VoIP telephony solution for businesses; replacing the need for a traditional PBX or analogue phone.
CallPort delivers the affordability, resilience and flexibility available through IP technology.
The system incorporates all of the functionality and feature benefits you would expect from a business grade telephone system, at the same time enabling true worker mobility and unified communications.
CallPort can be fully outsourced or managed at a customer level, depending on organisation requirements. It is deployed over a private, managed network and is commissioned with end-to-end Quality of Service and backed by a first class SLA, bringing the benefits of IP telephony services without the need to invest in a dedicated and expensive IP PBX on each customer site.
Benefits
CallPort is designed to boost productivity, breaking geographical boundaries to create a VoIP communications experience that allows for flexible and mobile working.
Colocation
Secure, off site protection for business applications.
For many organisations, building and maintaining a growing enterprise data centre is an expensive, time consuming and difficult to manage proposition. Sigmas server colocation spaces located both in and outside of London, provide customers with a secure, scalable infrastructure with 24/7 network monitoring.
With the growing need for centralised application hostings, the logical location for hosting equipment is in the core of the network rather than a remote, potentially vulnerable site exposed to the risks of fluctuating power supply, cooling capability and security processes.
Your data should be protected from every eventuality. An effective colocation strategy protects organisations against the loss of mission critical data caused by a security breach, fire, power outage or a natural disaster.
